The Craft

Every hook of the needle,
by hand

Aari work cannot be rushed and cannot be faked. Each motif is drawn onto your fabric, stretched on a wooden frame, and embroidered hook by hook — stones, zardosi, sequins and silk thread placed one at a time.

At Dimah, design, embroidery and stitching happen under one roof in Chennai. That means your blouse is never a compromise between what a designer imagined and what a tailor could manage — the same hands see it through from sketch to final press.

  • In-house aari embroidery — no outsourced work
  • Personal design consultation with fabric in hand
  • Fittings until it's right, not until it's due
  • Bridal timelines planned backwards from your muhurtham date

How It Works

From first sketch
to final fitting

i

Consultation

Bring your saree or fabric. We talk neckline, sleeves, work density and budget — and sketch it together.

ii

Design & Fabric

Motifs are drawn for your fabric, materials chosen — zardosi, stones, beads — and the design is confirmed with you.

iii

Embroidery & Stitching

Your piece goes on the aari frame. Embroidery first, then cutting and stitching to your exact measurements.

iv

Fitting & Finish

A trial fitting, final adjustments, lining and press — ready before your date, not on it.

Our Brides

Worn once,
remembered forever

The aari work on my muhurtham blouse was finer than anything I saw in the big showrooms. Everyone asked where it was from.

Bride · Chennai

They planned everything backwards from my wedding date. Two fittings, zero stress, perfect fit.

Bride · Reception Gown

I gave them my mother's wedding saree for my blouse. They treated it like their own — the detailing brought tears.
